The 6th International Mini Textile Exhibition

The 80 art works of 64 artists (215 applicants) from 27 countries were selected for the 6th international mini textile exhibition: Australia 1, Belgium 1, Canada 1, China 1, Czech Republic 1, Estonia 1, Finland 3, France 3, Germany 4, Great Britain 4, Greece 1, Indonesia 1, Ireland 1, Italy 1, Japan 10, Lithuania 1, Malaysia 1, The Netherlands 1, Norway 1, Poland 1, Romania 2, Slovakia 1, Switzerland 3, Turkey 10, Ukraine 4, Uruguay 1, USA 4. Artists have used different techniques – free, mixed, author’s, weaving, collage, quilt, screenprinting, embroidery, crochet, felt, paper, melting, dyeing, plant dyeing. Variety of materials were used to create art wåorks: linen, wool, cotton, silk, paper, paper pulp, washi paper, wire, aluminium, stainless steel, lace, hair, metal mesh, and others. The artists and designers, represented at this exhibition, are members of international design societies, associations, textile networks, textile corporations, directors of art centres. A great deal of them are lecturers of the universities, but first of all – they are artists and designers, who constantly work – work practically, take part at different international exhibitions such as “From Lausanne to Beijing” (China), Como (Italy), Lodz Tapestry Triennial (Poland), “Fiber Celebrated” (USA), ATA (USA), “Scythia” (Ukraine) and others.
